My story is important not because it is mine, God knows, but because if I tell it anything like right, the chances are you will recognize that in many ways it is also yours… it is precisely through these stories in all their particularity, as I have long believed and often said, that God makes himself known to each of us more powerfully and personally. If this is true, it means that to lose track of our stories is to be profoundly impoverished not only humanly but also spiritually.

― Frederick Buechner, Telling Secrets

My name is Erin.  I’m an introvert, a traveler, an adventurer, and a storyteller.

I’m mama to two little boys and wife to the funniest, smartest, and kindest man I’ve ever known.

I’m a scatter-brained messy kid, a recovering perfectionist, and a former chameleon.

Growing up, I lived on three different continents. No matter where I am in the world, I always feel a little out of place. But also always looking for adventure.

To me, “normal” is always relative.

I have witnessed beautiful, wonderful, terrible things. I have seen new life springing from what was once dead.

My words are not meant to divide, but to welcome. To love. To heal.

This is a place to seek, to wrestle, to cry, to dance, to sing, to shout.

This is a safe place.

And so, in that safety,  I offer you my story. May you find that, in at least part of the telling, you see a glimmer of your story, too.
